This notice explains what personal data Heart Roofing Ltd collects through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it. We are the data controller for that information.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through a form on this site we collect:

  • Your name (required)

Alongside what you type, our system records the page you sent the enquiry from, the date and time, and your IP address. The IP address is recorded so we can rate limit and block automated spam submissions. We do not use it to identify you or to build a profile.

We do not ask for special category data, and we ask you not to include health, financial or other sensitive information in the message box.

We do not use your details for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

Who we share it with

Your enquiry is stored in the database of this website and emailed to us so we can reply. That means it passes through:

  • Our website hosting provider, who stores the site and its database on our behalf
  • Our email provider, who delivers the notification to our inbox

Each of these acts as a processor under our instructions. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, for example to HMRC or in response to a lawful request from a public authority.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for 24 months and then deleted. Where we carry out work for you, we keep the records associated with that job for six years after the end of the financial year in which it was completed, which is the period required for tax purposes and for any claim arising from the work.

Cookies

This site sets no non-essential cookies until you choose to allow them. The banner shown on your first visit lets you accept all, reject all, or choose category by category. Our fonts are hosted on this site rather than loaded from a third party, so nothing contacts an outside service before you have made that choice. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy.

Where your data is held

Our website and email are hosted within the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area. If any provider we use transfers data outside those areas, that transfer is covered by an adequacy decision or by appropriate safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Agreement.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Ask us to erase your data where there is no continuing reason for us to hold it
